Maria Teresa Gavazzi

Maria Teresa Gavazzi è nata a Milano nel 1950. Ha passato l’infanzia a Saõ Paulo. Attualmente vive e lavora a Londra. Ha conseguito un Master in Pittura all’Accademia di Brera di Milano, e, nel 2018, un Master in Social Anthropology indirizzo Migration and Diaspora alla SOAS, School of Oriental and African Studies di Londra. La sua pratica nel tempo ha abbracciato pittura, collage, fotografia, installazioni, video, performance e progetti interattivi. Il suo lavoro è stato esposto in Europa, Gran Bretagna e Giappone. Tra l’altro in mostra alla Biennale Internazionale di Fotografia a Torino, ai Magazzini del Sale a Venezia, al Nederland Fotomuseum di Rotterdam, alla Triennale di Osaka, al Book Photography Festival del Benaki Museum Pireos Annexe di Atene.

Maria Teresa Gavazzi was born in Milan in 1950. She spent her childhood in Saõ Paulo. Currently she lives and works in London. She has an MA degree in Painting from the Brera Fine Arts Academy in Milan and, in 2018, she graduated in Social Anthropology (MA Migration and Diaspora Studies) at SOAS, the School of Oriental and African Studies in London. Over the years, she has embraced painting, collage, photography, installations, videos, performances and interactive projects. Her work has been exhibited in Europe, Great Britain and Japan. It has been displayed, among others, at the International Biennial of Photography in Turin, the Magazzini del Sale in Venice, the Nederland Fotomuseum in Rotterdam, the Osaka Triennale, the Book Photography Festival at the Benaki Museum Pireos Annexe, Athens.
